How to convert HWP to PDF
Create a visual PDF copy without sending the document to a conversion server.
Choose one unencrypted HWP 5.0 file and review its page and memory estimate.
Start conversion and keep this tab open while each page is rendered locally.
Download the PDF, then compare every page with the original in trusted HWP software.
Keep the original because the result is a visual PDF, not an editable HWP replacement.
02
HWP pages become PDF page images
Each supported HWP page is rendered and placed into a PDF page. This favors visible output over editable document structure.

Searchable or selectable text, links, forms, bookmarks, tags, scripts and interactive behavior are not preserved.
Original document metadata, attachments and embedded-file behavior are not copied into the result.
03
When a visual PDF copy is useful
Use this converter when a recipient needs to view or print a straightforward HWP document and can review the result.
Making a view-only PDF copy of a simple Korean document.
Preparing a document for a PDF-only upload form.
Sharing a reviewed snapshot when editable text and interactive features are not required.
04
Font substitution can change layout
The browser renderer uses self-hosted fallback fonts when an original font is unavailable. Line breaks, spacing, tables, equations, shapes, images and page breaks can differ from Hancom Office.
The PDF is rasterized, so enlarging it can reveal pixels and text is not searchable.
Complex objects, macros, OLE content, custom fonts and uncommon HWP features may be omitted or rendered differently.
This tool does not promise pixel-perfect fidelity; compare every page before relying on the result.
Local document rendering with fixed assets
The HWP bytes are parsed and rendered in this browser and are not uploaded to JUUD or a third-party conversion API.
Only fixed, versioned parser WebAssembly and font assets are fetched from this site's own origin. Requests never include the selected file, its name, text or extracted metadata.
External images, linked documents, remote fonts and other network resources referenced by the document are not fetched.
Public-specification notice: “본 제품은 한컴의 HWP 문서 파일(.hwp) 공개 문서를 참고하여 개발하였습니다.”
“한글”, “한컴”, “HWP” and “HWPX” are names and marks used by Hancom Inc. JUUD File Tools and its open-source parser are independent and are not affiliated with, sponsored by or approved by Hancom Inc.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will the PDF contain searchable text?
No. Each page is rendered as an image inside the PDF, so text selection, search and document accessibility structure are not preserved.
Why can the PDF look different from the HWP?
Unavailable fonts are substituted and some HWP features are not supported. This can change spacing, wrapping, objects and page breaks.
Does the tool load links or external images from my document?
No. Document-referenced network resources are not fetched. Only fixed parser and font assets are loaded from this site's own origin.
