Local processing
When a tool shows the private browser processing notice, decoding, editing and output generation happen on your device. The file is not posted to our server or an external conversion API.
Temporary browser memory
Selected files and previews can remain in the current tab while you work. Use Clear all or close the tab to release them, especially on a shared computer.
Safe file handling
Keep originals until results are verified. Avoid opening unexpected or untrusted documents, keep your browser updated and do not share a result until you have checked visible content and metadata.
Limits of the promise
Local processing reduces upload exposure but cannot secure an already compromised device, browser extension or downloaded file. Highly regulated workflows may require approved organizational software.
FAQ
Does local processing mean zero risk?
No technology can promise zero risk. It avoids a conversion upload, but device security and safe handling still matter.
Where is the result stored?
It exists temporarily in the tab and then in the download location you choose.
Can I use confidential files?
Local processing provides a strong privacy advantage, but follow any rules set by your employer, school or regulator.
