  • Original page numbers printed on a page do not change automatically.
  • Bookmarks and document-wide links may not make sense after extraction.
03

When to extract pages

Keep only the portion of a document that a recipient needs.

  • Sending one chapter or invoice from a long PDF.
  • Separating a scan into individual records.
  • Meeting an upload page or file-size requirement.
04

Original page visuals are retained

Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so extraction does not intentionally lower quality.

  • Verify the first and last page of each range.
  • For a very long PDF, create a few larger ranges rather than hundreds of files on mobile.

Private page extraction

The source PDF and extracted parts remain in the current browser session.

  • No document is uploaded for splitting.
  • Remember that extracted pages can still contain confidential visible content and metadata.
